The growing need for industrial digital printing systems that can be integrated with automated manufacturing systems has led to advances in direct-to-object (DTO) inkjet printers. These printers use UV-curable inks to print directly on manufactured parts or objects.
A variety of DTO printing systems will be demonstrated at the 2026 PRINTING United Expo, Sept. 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Engineered Printing Solutions
EPS will showcase a wide range of direct-to-object (DTO) printing technologies in order to help brands and manufacturers identify their ideal product printing solution.
Highlights of the booth include the XO-R robotic printing system for automated product handling and decoration alongside the KP0S pad printer, XO Series single-pass DTO printer and multi-pass DTO platform.
Throughout the show, EPS’s machines will run a variety of live samples to demonstrate how the different decoration technologies can be matched to specific production requirements.
Attendees will see products including poker chips, golf balls and bottle openers alongside industrial safety signage, pharmaceutical caps and plastic food packaging.
EPS’s robotic printing system reflects the growing demand from manufacturers for automated solutions that reduce dependence on manual labor, improve throughput, minimize operator intervention and deliver consistent, repeatable output.
In line with these trends, experts in the booth can share and discuss the company’s recent white paper, The Shift in Direct-to-Object Printing. It shows how single-pass UV inkjet technology can improve ROI through greater labor efficiency, lower setup costs and faster payback in suitable applications.

Roland will showcase the latest additions to their industrial printing portfolio — the VersaObject IO-300 UV flatbed and IO-300 industrial DTO printers. The IO-300 and RC-300 Series reflect Roland DG’s continued investment in industrial printing technologies.

Designed for consistent, repeatable decoration of industrial parts and components as well as finished goods, the IO-300 industrial DTO flatbed printer features new long-life industrial printheads, a 20 x 30 in. print bed, and support for objects up to 8.03 in. high.
The iO-300 uses Roland’s Pinnacle-award-winning EUV-Hard Ink to meet the demanding durability, adhesion, and safety requirements of many industrial applications. EUV-H ink offers strong resistance to solvents and abrasion, helping printed output maintain its integrity throughout production, handling, and end use.
Compatible with rigid substrates including plastic, glass, and metal, EUV-H ink enables high-quality decoration on a broad range of products. Two Roland printers suitable for either industrial DTO printing or short runs a premium customized products are the recently announced VersaObject RC-300 series of printers, The RC-300 makes it easier and more efficient than ever to print vivid detailed graphics directly on cylindrical and lightly tapered objects.
The VersaObject RC-300 make hight-quality cylindrical printing more accessible to businesses of all sizes. Inkcups
The Inkcups Helix® High Throw UV Cylindrical Printer is an advanced industrial direct-to-object UV inkjet printer for decorating cylindrical and conical products, including irregular and contoured shapes. It delivers seamless, full-color, 360° graphics on bottles, tumblers, containers, cups, and tubes from a single, efficient workstation.
Engineered with high-throw inkjet technology, this printer handle complex shapes and height variations up to 0.59 inches (15 mm), making it ideal for challenging applications such as stepped or highly contoured drinkware.
High throw inkjet technology (also known as high gap technology) increases the distance between the printhead and the substrate, so ink can be accurately placed on objects with irregular shapes. This is especially beneficial for vessels with posts for handles, significant top-to-bottom diameter variation, or pronounced design features.
The Helix High Throw UV Cylindrical Printing can decorate products that range in diameter from 2.55 inches (65 mm) to 7.1 inches (180 mm).
Two ink configurations are possible.
The four-color+white (W) configuration (WW+CK+MY+VV) is for companies that don’t plan to print photos on products.
The six-color configuration (WW+CK+MY+LcLm+VV) includes light cyan and light magenta inks for photo-realistic images that include smooth gradients and accurate skin tones.
Spot varnish (V) makes it possible to enhance the look and feel of the printed designs.

Mimaki
Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. has announced the UJF-200 series of flatbed UV inkjet printers for decorating promotional goods and industrial products. The series will make its global debut at PRINTING United Expo.
The UJF200 Series is a flatbed UV printer suitable not only for customers already using UV inkjet printers, but also for printing companies and industrial product manufacturers looking to add direct-to-object printing to their production capabilities.
The series includes two models:
- The Mimaki UJF200-3042 has a maximum print area of 11.8 in x 16.5 in
- The Mimaki UJF200-6042 has maximum print area of 24 in x 16.5 in
The beds can handle materials up to 9.8 in. thick with weights up to 44 lbs. This enables direct printing on thicker and heavier finished products that were previously difficult to print on, such as carry-on bags and desktop PC housings.
The UJF200 Series features the high-definition print heads used in Mimaki’s flagship 330 Series of graphic printers, together with Mimaki’s proprietary imaging technology. The combination precisely reproduces fine text and lines while beautifully rendering skin tones and gradations.
The UJF200 Series also newly supports fluorescent pink and fluorescent yellow inks. By adding vivid colors that are difficult to reproduce with standard CMYK alone, these inks expand the range of design expression and give printed items a more striking appearance. Eye-catching accent colors further enhance the appeal of products, making them more enticing to pick up and examine.

The UJF200 Series offers optional camera and belt units designed to automate customers’ printing processes. The camera unit detects the shape and position of each workpiece and automatically positions the print image accordingly, reducing the need for operators to manually position and align workpieces.
The belt unit (shown in the featured image at the top of this page) can be connected to a conveyor or other equipment on a production line to automate the transport of workpieces and their collection after printing.
By combining the two options, the entire DTO printing process can be operated with less manual intervention. This allows customers to increase production output even with limited staffing.
Mimaki’s UJF200 Series printers can be used to build optimal production systems even as the business grows in size and production volume.
