Epson Introduces Wide-Format, Twin-Roll DTF Printer for Apparel Decoration

The 64-in. Epson SureColor G9070 is the company’s first addition to its SureColor® G-Series of wide-format direct-to-film (Direct-to-Film) product line.

The SureColor G9070 is engineered for higher-volume apparel decorators, larger-scale transfer shops, and contract printers that need reliable, non-stop performance, consistent color, and minimal maintenance. It is designed to get jobs out the door fast, with high-speed throughput, without sacrificing color accuracy and detail.

Using four colors of ink (CMYK) plus white, the Epson SureColor G9070 can print transfer film at speeds up to 350 sq. ft./hr.

Twin-Roll Flexibility

The SureColor G9070 supports continuous productivity with minimal oversight. It can simultaneously print two 30 in. or 24 in. rolls of transfer film or one roll up to 64 in. wide. This twin-roll flexibility means it can handle both oversized graphics or large orders of multiple smaller transfers.

An automated printhead cleaning system and sealed, high-capacity ink packs also support uninterrupted printing.

Access to Support Network

“Direct-to-Film is one of the fastest growing digital print methods for apparel decorators,” said Paul G. Morales, product manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America, Inc. Since the process was first introduced as a viable alternative to screen printed transfers or heat-transfers, DTF printing has been dominated by generic machines with no local support. This required users to handle complex maintenance and repairs on their own.

The SureColor G-Series printers addresses this gap in the DTF market by delivering the technology, reliability, and consistent print quality Epson is known for — along with Epson’s robust service and support network. The SureColor G9070 is designed to meet garment decorators’ needs for increased productivity, stunning apparel, and reduced downtime.
