The robust Roland EU-1000MF high-volume UV-LED flatbed printer can output vibrant, detailed graphics directly onto rigid and flexible substrates, including sheet sizes up to 48 x 96 in. and thicknesses up to 3.74 in.

Cost-Effective Inks
The EU-1000MF is available at in either four-ink or six-ink configuration. In the 4-ink (CMYK) configuration, the printer can be equipped three printheads with up to 12 channels for faster throughput. The 6-ink configuration includes CMYK inks. a high-opacity White ink, and Clear Gloss. The Gloss E-US inks make it easy to add eye-catching textural and dimensional effects to each print.
Users can choose versions with either six or four printheads in a staggered, two-row configuration.
The EU-1000MF uses Roland DG’s specially formulated, GREENGUARD Gold-certified E-US UV inks.
According to Roberts, these high-density, cost-effective inks produce stunning prints on PETG, PVC board, wood, corrugated board, aluminum plate, and many other materials.
The GREENGUARD Gold-certification means that images printed on these materials can be safely displayed in sensitive environments such as hospitals and schools.
Other Features
The EU-1000MF boasts innovative technologies, premium components, and advanced features to optimize performance, streamline workflow, and ensure safe operation.
For example, Media Alignment Pins pop up at the touch of a button to ensure consistent placement of boards and panels. Other noteworthy features include:
- A liquid-cooled LED system for longer lamp life and improved ink curing;
- A printhead protection system that detects media collision;
- A white ink agitation system to prevent nozzle clogs;
- 2.5-liter ink tanks that can be easily refilled;
- A side table control station for convenient machine management; and
- A four-quadrant emergency stop system for increased worker safety.
VersaWorks 6 Software
The EU-1000MF comes bundled with Roland’s VersaWorks 6 software that enables EU-1000MF users to get the most out of their devices, optimize print quality, and maximize productivity. VersaWorks 6 boasts Harlequin RIP dual-core processors for fast handling of complex PDF, EPS, and PS files with drop shadows and transparencies, native 64-bit processing, five print queues and five hot folders, plus the ability to store unlimited queue settings.
The Special Color Plate Generation feature uses pixel data in the design to auto-generate a White, Metallic, Gloss, or Primer layer in the RIP. Other features include:
- a predictive ink calculator that estimates the amount of ink needed
- a job log that tracks ink use on media
- detailed color matching with the built-in Roland DG Color System and PANTONE libraries
- advanced tiling and nesting layouts
- variable data printing capabilities
- color profiling tools
