The Roland DG VersaOBJECT™ LO-640-F3 is a 64-inch UV flatbed inkjet printer for high-volume, high-precision direct printing on substrates and objects up 9.5 inches thick.
It can print a maximum width of 59.8 in. × 96.4 in. long. With its solid construction, the LO-640-F3 can accommodate objects that weight up to 220.5 lbs.
The LO-640-F3 printer can print directly on a variety of materials and objects, including those with irregular or curved surfaces.

Applications
It can make indoor and outdoor signs on flat panels or add personalized text, brand graphics, or custom designs to package prototypes, custom decor pieces. or manufactured products such as bottles, toys, and promotional products.
Inks and Configurations
The LO-640-F3 supports EUV5 inks in CMYKOrRe, plus Clear, White, and Primer.
The high-opacity White ink is used as a base coat when printing on transparent film or dark objects.
The Orange (Or) and Red (Re) inks ensure accurate color reproduction of brand colors as well rich, vivid color expressions.
Clear ink produces tactile surface effects such as gloss or matte textures and simulated embossing.
The primer enables printing on materials that were previously difficult, such as glass and metal.
The inks are available in 7 different configurations, based on the type of items you plan to decorate.
- Eight colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Red, Orange, White, Gloss)
- Seven colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Red, Orange, White)
- Seven colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Red, Orange, White) and Primer

If the printer will be used to decorate a mix of glass, acrylic, or metal surfaces, an ink configuration with both a primer and a white ink would be recommended.
Signs and promotional products that must replicate brand colors would benefit from the use of red and orange inks as well as white ink, clear ink, and primer.
If the printer will be used to customize batches of industrial products or parts, using two sets of CMYK inks could increase the throughput speeds.
Software
The LO-640-F3 comes standard with Roland DG’s VersaWorks® 7 RIP software, which provides intuitive job management and automatic generation for white, gloss, and primer layers. VersaWorks is compatbile with both macOS and Windows.
In addition, the LO-640-F3 is compatible with Roland DG Connect, a cloud-based platform that helps users monitor printer status, optimize workflows, manage media inventories, and gather and analyze real-time sales, revenue, and cost data.
Roland DG Connect subscribers can add PrintAutoMate which supports high-mix, low-volume printing by mapping multiple design files to the right object, assigning them to the right jig, and and directing them to the appropriate printing device.
