The Epson SureColor V4000 UV flatbed inkjet printer is the newest addition to the SureColor® V-Series UV flatbed printer line. The SureColor V4000 can help sign shops, custom-gift merchandising companies, and print-service providers offer a wide range of products with a device that doesn’t need a lot of space to operate,
For example, the Epson SureColor V4000 can print signs on cut sheets of rigid and flexible materials as well as photo gifts, fine art, and promotional items such as keychains, golf balls and pens. Because the V400 has a print area of 27.5 in. x 38.5 in., the printer can be used to print orders for yard signs.

“Many sign shops and print providers still rely on the time-consuming process of printing to adhesive vinyl, then laminating and mounting to rigid substrates,” said David Bistrovic, product manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America. “The SureColor V4000 streamlines production with direct-to-substrate UV printing.”
What Makes the SureColor V4000 Different?
Printheads: The Epson SureColor V4000 uses three Epson PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads to deliver crisp detail, clear small text, and single-pass multi-layer printing for enhanced productivity.
Capabilities: With a print area of 27.5 in. x 38.5 in., it V4000 uses touchless automatic laser height detection to apply colors, text, and graphics to materials up to 7.8 in. thick.
Expansive Color Gamut: Epson’s 10-channel UltraChrome UV ink set includes: Cyan Magenta, Yellow, Black, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Red, Gray, two sets of opaque white ink, and a matte or clear varnish. With this combination, users can apply brand colors, graphics, and/or textured surfaces to sheets or tall objects.
Large Print Area: The print area is big enough to simultaneously print two full-bleed 18 x 24 in. yard signs. Four individually controlled vacuum zones provide strong suction to securely hold media in place.
Clear Varnish Ink: Digitally controlled layers of varnish can add visual and tactile impact to printed products. The printer can be loaded with either a Gloss and Matte varnish. The printer can output the Grade 2 Braille and raised characters that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires for interior building signs for exits, stairwells, restrooms, elevators, offices, conference rooms and other permanent rooms.
Ease of Use: The V4000 features an open print bed with convenient front access to printer controls. The intuitive media setup makes daily operation efficient and automatic printhead maintenance reduces downtime.
Opaque White Ink: Printing a base layer of white inks makes it possible to print true-color images on transparent, black, or colored substrates. The printer’s closed loop white ink-circulation system maintains the white ink density required for efficient, reliable printing. The ink-circulation system helps reduce the amount of materials wasted due to errors in the print quality.
Intelligent Design: The V400 has a compact, space-saving footprint that fits easily through a 6-ft wide doorway. Plus, it operates on standard 110v power.
Integrated management tools. The printer comes with Epson Edge® Print Pro RIP software and can be connected to the Epson Cloud Solution PORT®2 to monitor production and manage printer fleets.
“For print shops, versatility is revenue,” said Bistrovic. “With the ability to print on so many different types of substrates, the SureColor V4000 opens the door to new markets, new applications and new reasons for customers to keep coming back.”
The SureColor V4000 will be available in Summer 2026 for $53,995 (MSRP) through select Epson Professional Imaging resellers. For additional information about Epson’s UV flatbed printers, visit https://epson.com/uv-flatbed-printer.
